The founder

Geraldo Thomaz and Mariano Gomide de Faria co-founded VTEX in Brazil in 2000 as an e-commerce software platform, growing it into a global SaaS provider serving over 2,000 enterprise customers — including Sony, Nestlé and Whirlpool — across more than 32 countries, with both serving as co-CEOs.

How it was taken public

VTEX listed on the NYSE on July 21, 2021, pricing above its range at $19 a share and raising $361 million at a valuation of roughly $3.2 billion — one of the first Brazilian-founded software companies to list on a major US exchange.
