Berlin-based Delivery Hero announced its investment in PedidosYa on June 26, 2014, paying $43 million for a 70% stake — its entry into Latin America via PedidosYa’s then-nine-country footprint. Delivery Hero later moved to full ownership as PedidosYa grew into a regional unicorn operating in roughly 15 countries.
